Been to the WOLF foodmarket twice. Once during the pre-opening for press and bloggers and a second time to taste the other dishes.
During the opening I had to honor to taste one of my favorite dishes as this market combines hotspots that already have restaurant in Brussels so some of them weren’t new to me. For others it’s the first time they open a physical shop in the foodmarket.
The location is very auspicious, in the middle of the center of Brussels and what I like about this concept is that you don’t have to argue about a place to eat when you have company. No compromises. You order what you want, they do the same. And the interior is beautiful. Loving the colors and lightning. Let’s talk about the things I’ve tasted.
Le compior du crabe
Loved the oysters and shrimp croquettes, at very reasonable price
Knees to chin
Knees to Chin has 3 locations in Brussels. You will of course find the same menu in every location. On the menu you will find different variants of spring roll at very democratic prices.
I normally order springrolls at their venue in Dansaert but this time I got myself a vegi misosoup.

La Piola Pizza
Best pasta and pizza I’ve ever tasted. Lovely staff and you can watch them making your dish right in front of you. One of my favorite spots at the foodmarket. They also have a reastaurant in Sint-Joost-ten-Node

Les Filles uses regional and seasonal produce whenever possible, and usually travels from the field to the plate without detours.
Small producers are always put in the spotlight in their communication. With a unique menu, they want to combat waste and waste production. They therefore use reusable or compostable jars and boxes. The restaurant also received the Slow Food label.
Been to their restaurant before, always fresh and healthy!

Gaufres & Waffles
At Gaufres & Waffles, the waffle is no longer seen as a dessert or a snack, but as a real meal. And what a delicacy! Each recipe was created personally by chef Yves Mattagne (Sea Grill**) who has added a special ingredient – his passion – to develop the menu. To me the waffle itself was a bit dry but the garnish was tasty
