Jean-Baptiste Dandoy was a craft baker. In 1829 he opened his first store in the heart of Brussels. In 1858 the business moved to Boterstraat: the start of a success story. Jean-Baptiste lovingly teaches his son Philippe the art of baking cookies. More than 150 years later, butter and sugar are still waving, under the approving eye of Sinterklaas.
Delicious artisanal coockies, downside when it’s crowed you have to get in line to get a spot inside. But you can Always sit outside, having a lovely view on the gallery.
